Niti Thermally Activated wires are the most commonly used alloy in almost all types of orthodontics. Composed primarily of 55% Nickel and 45% Titanium, they offer low stiffness, flexibility, and high elasticity. Additionally, their unique property of returning to their original shape when exposed to high temperatures (like the temperature inside the mouth) aids in leveling and aligning the dental arch. There are two main types: round Niti86 wires and square/rectangular Niti90 wires.
